1999 GB CLUB TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

(under ASA Laws & the FINA Technical Rules of Swimming)

Hutton Moor Pool, Weston-super-Mare (25m) - 6th/7th March

CONDITIONS

1. The Championships shall be open to any club affiliated to the ASA, the Scottish ASA or the Welsh ASA.

2. There will be separate Men's and Women's Championships and a combined Team Championship.

3. Clubs are limited to one team in the Men's Championship and one team in the Women's Championship. Each team shall consist of a minimum of four swimmers. A swimmer may compete in a maximum of three individual events, plus team races. Clubs are limited to one swimmer per event and to one team in the relays. The event will comprise the full Olympic programme in the sequence listed below.

4. All individuals competing in these Championships must have been registered members of the club entering them prior to the 1st January of the year of competition. When the entries are received a copy of the clubs registered swimmers will be returned to the entrant and only those names listed will be eligible to compete.

5. All competitors shall be British Nationals or should have been resident in Great Britain for not less than one year immediately prior to the event.

6. All entries shall be made on the official form and returned to the ASA National Events Administrator at: The Medway Building, Loughborough University, Epinal Way, Loughborough, Leics LEl 1 3TU by no later than Friday 12th February 1999.

Best times, achieved since 1st June 1998, must be given for each competitor and will be used for seeding purposes.

7. All events will be swum on a heat declared winner basis. Results will be determined by allocation of points based on the FINA short course points against the time achieved. Any swimmer or team which is disqualified during the Championships will be awarded 100 points less than the last placed swimmer or team in the race in which the disqualification takes place.

8. PRIZE MONEY: The allocation of prize money for both the Men's and the Women's Championship will be:-

The winner of the Combined Team Championship will win a trophy, but no prize money.

9. Anything not provided for in these Conditions shall be decided by the GB Technical Swimming Committee.
