1. The gala is held under A S A Laws.

2. The pool length is 25 metres.

3. The competition is open to swimmers in the age groups 10 years, 11 years, 12 years, 13 years, 14 years, 15 years and over as at 31 December 1998.

4. It is the swimmers responsibility to ensure eligibility to enter only events in their own age group. No poolside entries allowed.

5. Ten year olds will swim 50 metres, 11-15 yrs+ will swim 100 metres, to be swum in order of submitted entry times.

6. All events will be Heat Declared Winner in each age group, and in both grades.

7. The 'A' grade has no entry times. The fastest six 10 year old swimmers in each event will be presented with awards, and the fastest three swimmers in all other age groups will be awarded.

8. The 'B' grade has 'not faster than' times. There is an improvement time on the 'B' grade and anyone swimming faster than these times will be awarded with a speeding certificate, otherwise the fastest three swimmers in each age will be presented with awards, as will the fastest six 10 year olds.

9. There will be Top Boy, Top Girl and Top visiting Club awards.

10. The entry fee is £2 per event and coaches passes can be purchased in advance at £5, including programme and result sheets. Only two coaches per club will be allowed.

11. Entry cards must be posted in the boxes provided at the swimmers entrance for the first session, 30 minutes before the start. Cards for all three sessions may be posted at the same time. The boxes for the 2nd and 3rd sessions will re-appear later in the morning in the main entrance. Late cards will not be accepted.

12. All coaches or team managers will be responsible for their swimmers during the Meet.

13. Spectator seating will be limited, swimmers will not be allowed to use these seats.

14. Any other rules or regulations will be decided by the organisers and the Referee's decision will be final at all times.
