INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
All individual heats are seeded so that you will swim against other swimmers of similar speed, regardless of age Races will have heat declared winners (HDW) Points will be awarded to the first six swimmers in each age group in each event (6,5,4,3,2,1). Points will count towards age-group medals (gold. silver bronze), to be awarded at the end of the meet. teams. In the event of a tie, the swimmer with the most first places will be awarded the medal. In the event of two swimmers having exactly the same points and placements, two medals will be awarded.

HEALTH AND INSURANCE
It Is the responsibility of the competitor to declare any disability to the referee. If a disability exists, swmimers shall produce a medical note confirming that their participation presents no health or safety problems. Health and Insurance are the responsibility of the competitor.

RULES
1. Swimmers MUST be over 25 years old on 31/12/1998.
2. You may only represent ONE club.
3. You may enter upto 5 individual events, with a maximum of TWO freestyle events.

PRE-GALA SORTING OF ENTRY CARDS INTO HEATS
Entry cards will be posted back to swimmers with the heats and lanes already filled in. On the day of the gala, swimmers will hand cards directly to their timekeepers, and do not need to attend at the beginning of each session simply to post cards.

CLOSING DATE: Sat. 5th September 1998

TEAM EVENTS
There are four age groups of 4 x 1 length relays [1] 120 years, [2] 160 years, [3] 200 years. [4] 240 years. The 8 x 1L mixed freestyle relay has a minimum total age of 300 years and is to be swum by 4 men (from the shallow end) and 4 women (from the deep end). Medals will be awarded to the members of all winning relay teams.

Points from individual and team events will count towards the Top Team Trophy.

PRESENTATIONS
The morning session relay medals Will be presented on the poolside after the second session warm-up.the afternoon relay medals, the individual medals and Top Team Trophy will be presented at the buffet venue after the gala.

BUFFET
There will be a buffet and medal presentation in licensed premises after the close of the gala. If you would like to eat, please enclose £6.50 for the buffet with your entry form.

ENTRY FEES
£2.00 for individual events.
£4.00 for team events.
Cheques should be made payable to:

WARM - UP in the competition pool will be structured as follows:

Lane 1: Diving and sprints from deep to shallow end only.

Lane 2: Men Only continuous swimming, Clockwise.

Lane 3: Backstroke continuous swimming, Anticlockwise.

Lane 4: Breaststroke / Butterfly continuous swimming, Clockwise.

Lane 5: Frontcrawl continuous swimming, Anticlockwise.

Lane 6: Women only: continuous swimming Frontcrawl / backstroke, Clockwise.

No diving will be allowed in lanes 2 - 5 from either end, please change lanes when you change stroke.

The small pool will be available for warm-up and swim down through the day. Small pool users are asked to pause in their swimming for the start of each race, to ensure quiet.
