Information for Competitors

1.	The venue is at Victoria Swimming Pool, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Tel 0705 823822
	Cards and maps will be sent with all accepted entrants.

2.	Victoria Swimming Pool is a 6 lane, 25metre pool and is close to the main train station.

3.	Events will be swum in two sessions:

4.	All ages are as at 31st December 1995.

5.	All relays are 50m swims. All starts will be from the deep end.

6.	Combined ages for relay events must not be less than 120, 140 and 180 years as indicated.
	The 120, 140 and 180 years relay events may be swum together. Do not enter the same
	swimmer in both events.

7.	Events 19, 20, 21 are mixed medley and freestyle relays. The ladies leading off with
	Backstroke followed by the men on Freestyle, ladies on Breastroke etc. etc.
	Each team will consist of 8 swimmers, 4 ladies and 4 men.
	The men will do the freestyle swimming and the ladies will do the medley swimming.

8.	Entries must be on submitted entry forms (or photocopies), one form per competitor or team.

9.	All entries must be received by the closing date 20th February 1995. Entries received after this
	date maybe accepted at the discretion on the promoter. Entries must be accompanied with
	a stamped addressed envelope for the return of your entry cards.

10.	There is a limit of 300 entries for the meet. In the event that more entries are received than can
	be accepted, entries will be processed strictly on a first-come first-served basis.

11.	Heats will be arranged from submitted times from the slowest to the fastest, The fastest heat to
	be last. Swimmers who do not submit an entry time will swim first.

12.	All events will be decided on the "Heat Declared Winner" system. Medals will be presented to
	the first, second and third placed swimmers in each age group.

13.	Points will be awarded as: 5 points for 1st place, 4 points for 2nd place, 3 points for 3rd place
	and 1 point for every other swimmer.

14.	Events maybe cancelled at the discretion of the promoters should the events start to run late.
	Any monies paid on a cancelled event will be refunded in full.
