Facilities: Pool
The pool is 25M, Six Lane. There is electronic timing. There are anti-wave lane lines. There are large windows on the south side.
The deep end is at the west end and the starting is done from there.
There is a small swim-down pool at the shallow (east) end.
Where there is also a water slide.
Facilities: Catering
The cafeteria is at first floor level and is partitioned off by a door and windows. It is cooler than poolside. There is a limited selection of drinks, rolls, sandwiches, cakes and the usual prepackaged foods.
Sometimes there are homemade cakes and jams for sale as part of charity fund raising. Get a seat early as they will all be taken at lunchtime.

The seating extends along the north side (see photo) and is directly accessible to swimmers by some stairs.

The re-entry card table is in the reception area.
There is usually a raffle in the reception area and a swim shop near the cafe.
The pool contains some decorative areas.
Programme: Sessions
There are two sessions: morning and afternoon.
There is plenty of time between events, so swimmers can recover well and do good times.
Programme: Individual Events
Basically this is a 50m sprint meet
but it includes a 100M freestyle and a 100M Individual Medley.
Programme: Relays
There are four relay events, 4 * 2 lengths mens and womens freestyle and medley relays for 100-149 and 150+ years.

There are no special events.

Awards will be made to the first three placed swimmers in each AGE GROUP for each event.
Individual and Relay medals
A special feature of this meet was the long gaps between sessions that allow the swimmers to recover, and hopefully do better times. Two World records for backstroke was set in this pool by Graham Sykes.

The level of competition is at Club/county level with a few 'top swimmers'.

Hanover Housing Association, the competition's sponsor, sometimes provide interesting gifts to swimmers.

Relay competitors may compete for only one club.
