Facilities: Pool

The Crystal Palace pool is 50M, Eight Lane. There are anti-wave lane lines. There are large windows, high up, on three sides.

The deep end is at the north end where there is a diving pit.

and most of the starting is done from there, except for the 50m sprints.

There is a shallow childrens pool at the south end that can be used for warm-up and swim-down.

On some occasions, the main warm-up pool is available. This is situated downstairs, below main pool level, at the south end. While you are down there, have a look through the underwater viewing windows, which run along the side of the main pool and along the diving pit.

Facilities: Catering

The cafeteria is near the main entrance at first floor level. There is a limited selection of drinks, rolls, sandwiches, cakes and the usual prepackaged foods.

Facilities: Seating

The extensive seating runs along the east side at two levels. At pool level it is directly accessible to swimmers. At first floor level there is another bank of seats. To get to these you need to go up one of the sets of stairs.

Facilities: Other

There is sometimes a swim shop to be found on the pool level walkway. You may encounter a stall with Russian gentlemen selling homemade goods (to help pay their travelling costs).

Programme: Sessions, Individual Events, Relays, Specials

Programme: Sessions

There are five sessions: morning, afternoon and evening on Saturday and morning and afternoon on Sunday.

Programme: Individual Events

Basically this is a 50M and 100M sprint meet but it includes a 400M freestyle and a 200M Individual Medley.

Programme: Relays

There are twenty four relay events, 4 * 1 length mens and womens freestyle and medley relays for 100, 120, 160, 200, 220 and 240 years.

Programme: Specials

There are no special events.

A special feature of this meet is the Long Course 400M freestyle and there are usually a few competitors going for records here.

Awards will be made to the first three placed swimmers in each AGE GROUP for each event.

The level of competition is at Club/county level with a few 'top swimmers'.

Upper limit is Age Group N (85+). Swimmers in older groups will be combined into Group N.

Competitors may compete for only one club.

Competitors must be members of a club affiliated to FINA. This means that "foreign" swimmers are welcome, and many do participate.
