			AFFILIATED TO THE SCASA

1 The competition will be held under A.S.A. Laws.

2 The pool is 33.3m long 6-lane anti-turbulence lane ropes.

3 All competitors must be members of a Club which is affiliated to the A.S.A. and may swim for no more than one Club in this competition. All swimmers must be registered with the A.S.A.

4 Entry fee is £1.75 per Individual Event and £3.00 per Relay Team. Please make cheques payable to SOUTHEND ON SEA S.C.

5 All Entry Forms must be accompanied by a large (9" x 6") S.A.E.

6 The Card System will be used. All swimmers must deposit their cards in the boxes provided at least TWENTY MINUTES before the start of the Gala. No late entries will be accepted.

7 Certificates will be awarded to the lst, 2nd & 3rd place swimmers in each Age Group in each Event. These will be forwarded after the Gala.
Awards will be presented to the Top Male & Top Female in each Age Group, Oldest Male & Female Swimmer and Top Club.

8 All Individual Events will be seeded slowest to fastest according to submitted times.

9 All events will be on a HEAT DECLARED WINNER basis. There will be NO FINALS.

10 A11 swimmers may compete only in their own Age Group.

11 Relay Teams must consist of four swimrners aged 25 or over whose total age is NOT LESS than 140 years. No swimmer may compete for more than one Relay Team, but a Club may enter more than one Team.
Names and dates of birth of relay swimmers must be shown on the reverse of the Entry Card before it is placed in the Whip's box.

13 Results will be available after the Gala at £3.00 per set.

14 CLOSING DATE for entries: AUGUST l5TH 1998
