This competition roves between several sites from year to year. This preview covers the visit to the Penlan Pool, Swansea.

The foyer has a reception desk, public telephone, dinks machine and casual wooden seating. It is a good place to sit and chat.

The pool is a modern 25M, Eight Lane.

There are anti-wave lane lines and electronic timing. There is a small warm up / swim down /teaching pool alongside the main pool.

There is adequate seating on poolside for competitors, and a bank of seating for spectators.

This is a three-day meet and there are two sessions per day:

• Friday afternoon and evening
• Saturday morning and afternoon
• Sunday morning and afternoon.

Basically this is a full sprint and distance meet up to 400m. (There are no 800m or 1500m events.)

There are 25 relay events, 4 * 2 length mens and womens freestyle and medley relays for 100, 120, 160, 200 and 240 years. And a 300+ years 8 x 2L MIXED freestyle relay.

The 300+ years 8 x 2L MIXED freestyle relay is a special event.

There is nothing in the WASA information provided to competitors to indicate that any awards will be made, however, in the past awards have been made to the first three placed swimmers in each age group for each event.
