INFORMATION SHEET

These championships are held in accordance with the following conditions:-

1. Competitors shall be eligible to compete under A.S.A. Law, and must be registered swimmers.

2. For all events age shall be as at 31/12/99. Masters competitors must be 25 years in year of Competition.
Competitors aged 19 - 24 years will be seeded with all age groups but may not swim in any team event.

3. AGE GROUPS MEN & WOMEN 

	A	25 - 29	years		F	50 - 54	years
	B	30 - 34	years		G	55 - 59	years
	C	35 - 39	years		H	60 - 64	years
	D	40 - 44	years		J	65 - 69	years
	E	45 - 49	years		K	70 years and over
					L	19 - 24	years

4. INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
For Age Groups A to K
50m, 100m, 200m Freestyle
50 & 100m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly
100m Individual Medley

5. TEAM EVENTS
Age Groups 120, 160 & 200 years (combined ages of 4 team members)
Clubs may enter more than one team in each Age Group.
Individuals may only swim in one team in each event.
Individuals may only enter for one club in the Championships.

6. All events will be HEAT DECLARED WINNER in each age classification.

7. Two Trophies have been kindly donated to the Masters.
The Margaret Pickering Trophy for the Top Lady
The Walter Pickering Trophy for the Top Man
The points will be awarded 3pts for 1st, 2pts for 2nd, 1pt for 3rd when there is 3 or more swimmers entered for the event. For events with only 2 swimmers entered the points will be 2pts for 1st and 1pt for 2nd. With only one swimmer entered the winner will get 1pt.
These two trophies are for swimmers who are members of a club affiliated to the Yorkshire Amateur Swimming Association.
