Beds Masters Decathlon Challenge 2018 Report
The 2018 winners of the Beds Masters Decathlon Challeng are, Liz Woolner (Flitwick) for the women and Marcel Scholten (Modernian) for the men.
Overall Beds swimmers have made a strong showing. For the women, competing against 1712 women, we have two in the top-100 nationally. In 8th place is Liz Woolner with 5883 points and in 49th place is Claire Evelyn (South Beds) with 4763 points.
For the men, competing against 2180 men, we have five in the top-100 nationally . In 12th place we have Marcel Scholten (Modernian) with 5746 points, in 16th Dave Cartledge (Modernian) with 5575 pts, in 24th Graham Powell (Team Luton) with 5271 pts, in 32nd Alex Mason (Team Luton) with 5103 pts and in 94th Tom Lambert (Team Luton) with 4234 pts. The last two of these are younger swimmers with great talent.
The top womens team, in 21st place nationally was South Beds with 14210 points. Top mens team was, in the top-10 nationally, in 9th place was Team Luton with 18730 points.
